Salawaty ("we", "our", or "Company") is a mobile application that helps you with prayer times, prayer check-ins, achievements, and optional reminders. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use the Salawaty app and our backend services, how we use it, and your rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Definitions

  • App / Service means the Salawaty mobile application and the servers and APIs that support it.
  • Personal Data means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you.
  • You means the person using the App.
  • Service Providers are companies that help us run the Service (e.g. hosting, push notifications).

What Data We Collect

If you create an account

  • Email address — required to create and access your account.
  • Name and profile photo — optional; if you sign in with Google we may receive the name and picture from your Google account.
  • Password — if you sign up with email, we store a secure hash of your password; we never see or store the actual password.

If you use the app as a guest

You can use Salawaty without an account. We associate your data with a device identifier so we can store your settings, prayer times, check-ins, and achievements on that device. If you later create an account, we may link this guest data to your account.

Data the app needs to function

  • Location (country and city) — used to calculate prayer times. We store country and city (not precise GPS) on our servers.
  • Prayer calculation method — stored so we can show correct times.
  • Language / locale — stored for your preferences.
  • Notification preferences — stored so we send only what you asked for.
  • Prayer check-ins — stored to show your history and achievements.
  • Excused days — stored so they don't affect your stats.
  • Push notification token — so we can send you prayer reminders if enabled.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide prayer times, check-ins, achievements, and notifications.
  • To manage your account and sync your data across devices.
  • To send push notifications only according to your preferences.
  • To respond to your requests and comply with law.
  • To improve and secure the Service.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

When We Share Data

  • Service Providers — for hosting, push delivery, and Google Sign-In.
  • Legal — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • Business transfer — if Salawaty is sold or merged, user data may be transferred.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymize it within a reasonable time.

Your Rights

You can access and update your information in the App. You can delete your account from Settings. We will honor deletion requests subject to legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure.

Children Under 13

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Parents can contact us at help@info.salawaty.my.id.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
